AMATEUR RACING RULES        

  • OEM TRACK – NO SHAVING OF LUGS
  • TRAIL STUDS ONLY NO SHARPING
  • WOODY MEGA BITS ARE LEGAL
  • JET THE MOTOR ,CLUTCH AND GEAR IT
  • ANY LEGAL FUEL ALLOWED
  • SLED CAN BE TIED DOWN MUST HAVE 2 INCHES OF TRAVEL WITH THE DRIVER ON THE SLED
  • COOL DOWN CARTS ARE ALLOWED
  • TRAIL STUDS ¾ “ MAX PAST THE HIGHEST LUG OG THE TRACK
  • SLED MUST HAVE A TETHER CORD
  • DRIVER SAFETY GEAR-SNELL 95 OR BETTER FULL FACE HELMAT
  • FLAK JACKET-SAFE JACKET
  • EYE PROTECTION ,BOOTS OVER THE ANKLE, AND SHIN GUARDS

AMATEUR IMPROVED TRAIL STOCK

  • MUST BE FULL BODY TRAIL MACHINE
  • ANY MOTOR MODIFICATIONS
  • ANY FUEL IS ALLOWED
  • SLED CAN BE TIED DOWN BUT MUST MAINTAIN 2 “ OF TRAVEL FRONT AN BACK WITH THE DRIVER ON IT
  • SPEED TRACKS ALLOWED TRAIL STUDS ONLY
  • WOODY ‘S MEGA BITS ARE ALLOWED
  • NO RACE PIPES ARE ALLOWED-PERFORMANCE TRAIL PIPES ALLOWED
  • TRAIL SUDS MAX LENGTH ¾” PAST THE HIGHEST LUG OF THE TRACK

SEMI PRO - STOCK CLASSES

  • STEPPING STONE FROM AMATEUR CLASSES WILL HAVE A PURSE + 100% PAYBACK
  • NO PRO SLEDS ALLOWED
  • CLASSES BUILT FOR SLEDS OR DRIVERS NOT QUITE COMPETITIVE IN PRO CLASSES

COSDRA Amateur Vintage Classes & Rules Effective for 2009

Class A – Run Whatcha Brung Single Cylinder any Size & Twin FC & FA Under 300 CC

Class B - Run Whatcha Brung 0-340 CC FC & FA & 0-250 CC Liquid

Class C - Run Whatcha Brung Any Size FC & FA and 0-340 Liquid

Class D - Open Stock Class –Any size FC, FA or Liquid
(Must be a Original configuration, stock, full body, trail ride-able sled, NO PIPES)

Class E - Run Whatcha Brung Open Modified Class - Any size FC, FA or Liquid

CC Class Rules
Fan cooled and Free Air would run together in their CC class
Liquid cooled would run in the next CC class up with FC and FA sleds
Open class is any CC any cooling

Top Fuel Class Rules

  • Same Rules as Open Mod Except for CCss And Weights
  • 3 cylinder 1050 sled and driver 500lbs
  • 4 cylinder 1050 sled and Driver 515 lbs
  • 3 cylinder 1250 max sled & Driver 575lbs
  • 4 stroke turbo 1000cc sled and driver 625 lbs

Outlaw Pro Mod Rules

  • Working Kill switch
  • working Tether switch
  • Working Brakes- Brakes on Drive Axle
  • Metal Belt guard
  • Full mud flap
  • tunnel closer
  • Any gasoline fuel
  • No nitro blends
  • Must have seat May be cut down for lower profile, but needs to resemble stock configuration
  • OEM body work
  • hydraulic shocks
  • snowmobile motors-Watercraft Bottom ends Allowed
  • Any Power Adder Allowed
  • snowmobile drive systems
  • aftermarket bulkhead/front ends, tunnels are fine with OEM bodywork this means SEAT, GAS TANK SHROUD HOOD, BELLY PANS, hydraulic shocks, HAS TO LOOK LIKE OEM snowmobile One piece after market body panels are permitted but they must retain OEM dimensions.

Hood secured down
Full mud flap
Full face helmet Recommended
Long Sleeve Pants
Leather boots over ankles
Tek vest or chest protector Recommended
Vintage Tech rules
Engine and Chassis must be 1981 or older but does not have to be original configuration
No fuel injection, nitrous or turbos
Any “gasoline“ fuel can be used
No alcohol or nitro blends
No welded skis
Must have steel ski runners – no plastic or ski skins
Must have seat
Any traction product can be used in ALL Vintage classes, stud, picks, claws or chisels.
Cleated tracks ARE allowed in all Vintage classes.
Driver and or Owner are ultimately responsible for
condition of sled and applicable rules.
